We approached ababmaths for some additional A Level support and were delighted with the outcome. Alison’s teaching was highly effective and even in a short period of time, she was able to make a material difference, building our son’s confidence in the subject and substantially increasing his understanding of topics that had previously baffled. I’m so grateful for the support Alison gave my daughter over the past 2 years. She built a lovely rapport and struck a great balance between helping with the specific schoolwork my daughter needed, and introducing her own tailored plan to cover key GCSE topics. Not only did she build my daughter’s confidence, but she also encouraged her to reach her full potential. My daughter achieved a Grade 8 in her GCSE maths and, more importantly, developed a genuine love of the subject—so much so that she is now taking A-level Maths. Her teaching is enabling my daughter to excel at maths during her GCSE level studies, so much so that she may well take A-level maths. With Alison’s tutoring I was able to achieve a B at A-level which was a two grade improvement from my mock exams! I’ve been able to use these skills, including how I solve non-mathematical problems, in my university degree and I believe that it was crucial to leading me to where I am today.

We are extremely grateful to Alison for providing excellent support to our two daughters, not only in GCSE Maths but also in Science. Both of them entered Year 11 with borderline pass predicted grades and very little interest in the subjects.
