abab maths (formerly Primary Learning) has been created by me, Alison Begley.

I’ve been writing science educational website content and working in communicating science since 1999.  I have a PhD in astrophysics and have been tutoring maths since 2014, changing to online tutoring in 2020.

When my children started school I realised that the information I was receiving wasn’t enough to allow me to make sure they were keeping up, and when friends asked how to help their children learn their times tables, what stage should they be at, etc., I realised that parents weren’t being given enough guidance how to support their children with their maths school work.

abab maths aims to address the problems parents face when being asked to support their children with maths.

The private tuition I offer will help them keep up in school, find any of their missing foundation work, and keep you informed about how they are doing and what you can do to support them.  Allowing them not just to get their best possible grade but also reduce any anxiety they have about the subject.

If you are interested in worksheets that you can use yourself with your child, take a look at my material here.

These are lesson plans I use in my tuition sessions and allow you to follow the curriculum year by year, or complete an entire topic from zero to GCSE.

Get in touch if you would like these mapped out for your child, including revision material to re-enforce all their hard work.
